Hi everyone, my name is Wendy. I am a mum to 3 active cheeky girls. Being a mum is wonderful journey filled with so much joy, excitement as well as frustration. As a mum, you play multiple roles. You become concerned about their health, well-being, learning, clothing, food etc. Its not an easy role to play but its a fulfilling one and has brought me to learn many things I would never be bothered about if I were without kids.
My big girl has eczema when she was around 2.5 years old. Just a small patch on her leg and tummy. One day, the school called me to inform me that the joints of her ears were oozing yellow liquid. We brought her to the hospital and were referred to the dermatologist. For 1.5 years, she was on steroids as the dermatologists (we saw more than 1) told me steroids is the ONLY way. I had to trust the experts and followed their instructions diligently. However, her eczema will only be in control when she was on steroids and will return with more when I stopped them. The mum’s instinct told me that I can’t have her on steroids her whole life. Steriods in the long term has many side effects. It is from there that I started reading and researching and knew that the drugs merely suppressed and her immune system was probably messed up by then with the steroids used. That started my quest for natural healing for her. To cut my story short, that was in 2013 and now her eczema is in control without drugs.
It is through this journey that brought me to explore various natural remedies and all things on health and wellness and I believe we are all crafters of our health.
I hope this blog will be helpful for anyone looking for natural remedies before running to drugs at the very first sign of ailments.
